PickPackify Documentation
A comprehensive guide to installing, configuring, and operating your WooCommerce warehouse order picking and packing desks.
01. Installation Guide
PickPackify installs natively into your WordPress repository alongside WooCommerce. It operates locally inside your server database and connects securely to our terminal services.
Free Version Installation:
- Log in to your WordPress Admin dashboard and navigate to Plugins → Add New.
- Search for PickPackify in the repository search bar.
- Click Install Now, and once loaded, click Activate.
- You will see a new PickPackify menu option added to your left WordPress admin menu.
Pro Version Installation:
- Download the premium plugin zip file (pickpackify-pro.zip) from your PickPackify Customer Account dashboard.
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin in your WordPress dashboard.
- Choose the zip file from your device and click Install Now.
- Activate the plugin. Make sure WooCommerce is already active.
02. License Activation & Setup
Every PickPackify warehouse terminal relies on domain binding. This guarantees correct data communication when checking license status and updates.
- Go to the PickPackify → License page in your admin panel.
- For the Free Plan: Enter your account email address and click Save / Register. This registers your free terminal block on our API servers and activates your limit of 100 free orders per month.
- For the Pro Plan: Copy the Pro License Key from your customer receipt email, paste it into the license field, and click Activate License.
⚠️ Warning: Permanent Email-Domain Binding
Each registered domain name is permanently bound to its initial activation email address. The registered email address cannot be changed after registration. Each terminal setup is strictly bound to prevent security breaches and data conflicts.
03. PickPackify Pro Version Features
While the Free version includes our base fulfillment dashboard, PickPackify Pro is specifically engineered to run commercial warehouse packing tables.
Unlimited Order Processing
Removes the 100 orders/month cap. Process thousands of order shipments every month with zero interruptions.
Optimized Batch Picking
Group multiple orders into a consolidated picking list, automatically sorted by warehouse aisle locations to save walking time.
Mobile Camera Scanning
Generate QR sync session tokens to turn any iOS/Android smartphone or tablet camera into a live barcode scanner without purchasing extra hardware.
Real-time Warehouse Analytics
Monitor packaging speeds, team member logs, fulfillment accuracy rates, and error charts with advanced date range filtering.
04. Warehouse Bin & SKU Setup
Before launching your standalone picking terminal, you must link product data to your warehouse layout.
1. Assigning Bin Locations:
Warehouse Bins represent shelf locations (e.g. Aisle A, Shelf 3, Bin 12 or simply A-3-12).
- Edit any product in WooCommerce and go to the Inventory settings tab.
- Locate the Warehouse Bin field.
- Input your bin code (e.g.
B-14) and click update.
2. Setting Up Barcodes:
Barcode numbers (UPC/EAN/GTIN) are used to verify scans.
- In the same Inventory settings panel, locate the Barcode SKU field.
- Scan your product's barcode with your hardware scanner, or type the numeric code manually.
- Click Update to save configurations.
💡 Tip: Batch Editing
You can import warehouse bins and product barcodes in bulk using standard WooCommerce CSV import tools. Just link columns to meta keys _warehouse_bin and _barcode.
05. Operating the Picking & Packing Queues
Fulfillments are managed outside of your standard WordPress backend inside the high-speed **PickPackify Warehouse Terminal Screen**.
How to Fulfill Orders:
- Navigate to PickPackify → Dashboard and click Open Standalone Terminal. This locks the interface to speed operations and prevent distraction.
- Step 1: The "To Pick" Pipeline — Select orders you wish to package. Click Generate Picking List. This merges similar item SKUs into a single batch sheet and sorts them by bin location, allowing you to walk the lanes once to collect items.
- Step 2: The "Ready to Pack" Pipeline — Once products are at your desk, scan each item's barcode or click item cards to verify.
- Step 3: Verification & Packing — When all items in an order are scanned correctly, click Pack Order. The order will be completed inside WooCommerce automatically, triggering shipping updates.
